Are you getting married next year? Congratulations! Time will absolutely fly while you’re wedding planning and there’s nothing more important than finding your dream wedding gown! So, as we approach the new year, The Bridal Studio, Dollar thinks that now is a great opportunity to explore the upcoming wedding dress trends for 2022.

Outerwear

2022 bridal experts predict that dressing appropriately for the weather will become a massive trend. This means we’ll most likely see a lot of brides choosing to layer over their wedding gowns.

Dressing for your wedding involves a slight need for flexibility, especially for brides who would like to switch their bridal look between the ceremony and the party that follows.

There is no easier way to do this than by investing in layers. For example, you could choose to purchase a wedding dress with detachable sleeves, keeping them on for the ceremony and then removing them when it’s time to party! The Bridal Studio, Dollar currently hosts the dressed from Freda Bennet that are perfect with and without sleeves.

On the other hand, you could go for a jacket - this would be perfect for those who may have an outdoor ceremony before moving indoors for the party. Once again, we recommend the Freda Bennet collection, ask The Bridal Studio about the ‘Kinsley Coat’.

Romantic Dresses

Are you looking for a bit of escapism from COVID-19? Why not try a romantic style dress! While 2021 was ruled by simple satin dresses, we expect that romantic wedding dresses will make a big splash on the wedding scene for 2022. We’re thinking, lace, tulle and maybe even a touch of boho style thrown in.

Our favourite romantic dress has to be the ‘Dawn’ from the Ronald Joyce Collection. If you love it as much as we do, why not book a 1-to-1 consultation with Lesley to try it on!

Minimalist Dresses

Classic and minimalist wedding dresses have always been on trend for weddings and we don’t anticipate this ending with the new year!

However, why not jazz up your wedding gown with a bit more detail? You could some sequins, for inspiration, why not look at this Ronald Joyce Victoria Jane dress that we are currently waiting for arrival at The Bridal Studio, Dollar.
